My family and I were exploring the beautiful backcountry of Lillooet when a forest fire broke out, engulfing the area in smoke. We were caught in that overwhelming moment—unsure of what would happen next, but we experienced an unexpected peace, like mercy itself had covered us.
That day, I was reminded of the golden thread woven through our lives—the quiet but powerful presence of grace that shows up even in the most uncertain times. *Fragrant Mercy* is about this quiet strength, this sense of renewal that’s always there if we look for it, especially in nature. It’s the scent of hope, carried in the wind when life feels heavy.
